ABOUT Travis Levius

Travis Levius is an award-winning photographer and writer whose remarkable story has inspired many around the world.

He began to follow his passion in photography-with a pocket camera and no background- just one month before graduating Emory University with a Sociology degree.

In one year’s time, he’s photographed several celebrities, obtained high-profile clients and credits such as America Online, Oprah.com and the United States Department of Commerce, and lived out his true dream: shooting the runways for New York and London Fashion Week to mass acclaim (he’s now known as “The Runway Artist” to fashion’s elite).

A gifted writer long before his pursuits behind the lens, he is also a journalist and writer, having interviewed many celebrities and dignitaries in his career, many of which can be found on his MisterLevius.com site.

During his incredible journey, he realized another passion: motivating others towards greatness.

In 2010, he launched website MisterLevius.com to promote the message of dreaming big; one will find multimedia inspirational content, ongoing personal testimonies and exclusive interviews with famous acheivers to illustrate anyone can achieve great things when passion is the #1 focus.  In the near future, he plans to perform motivational speaking and write books to help others live out their dreams.

This blog is birthed from my current life-altering adventures: full of wonders, intrigue, risk, challenges, and glorious outcomes (and many frightening cliffhangers, trust me).  Everytime I would tell someone a portion of my rather recent story, I always received responses such as “inspiring,” “amazing,” “gutsy,” and “gives me hope.”  Soon enough I realized my story was bigger than me.

This adventure consists of my pursuit of a new passion (photography) and a life-long one (having things done my way) and all the mind-bending stories that came with them…all in just one year.  I hear many people tell me “Congratulations!  You’re doing what you love”…and it hurts me.  Because I realize most people in the world never feel the unspeakable joy of loving what they do.  To think people are not living their best, authentic lives…is a tragedy.  Something in the world has got to change.

Before we are pupils,

tax payers,

employees,

and tenants,

we are first humans,

made with unique talents and strengths that we can individually contribute to

the world.

I say all of this to say: I have a desire for all of us to live an inspired, motivated, and empowered life.

In this blog you’ll see what makes me tick,  the awesome and not-so-awesome accounts of living unconventionally, and the people and stories that inspire me…and hopefully you as well.
